Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within our facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a hygienic environment by performing industrial cleaning tasks, handling chemical agents safely, and ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols. Your efforts will directly contribute to food safety, manufacturing efficiency, and a safe working environment for all team members.
- Pay $16 an hour
- Two Shifts; 6am start time and 9:30am start time
- Paid Weekly
- Sanitation cleaning exp required
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, equipment, and workstations using appropriate cleaning techniques and tools.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and protective eyewear.
- Conduct sanitation procedures in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Utilize industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to maintain cleanliness in warehouses, food processing areas, and manufacturing zones.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting, chemical handling, and routine cleaning tasks to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Assist in the proper disposal of waste materials and chemical residues in accordance with environmental safety guidelines.
- Document cleaning activities, chemical usage logs, and inspection reports accurately for accountability and compliance purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial work, custodial services, or industrial cleaning environments.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Familiarity with GMP standards, food safety practices, and sanitation protocols within manufacturing or food processing settings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining proper body mechanics.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness records and inspection logs.
- Basic math skills for measuring chemicals or calculating cleaning supplies usage.
- Effective communication skills to follow instructions clearly and collaborate with team members on sanitation tasks.
