Job Summary
HealthCare Design Builders is looking for a self motivated and highly driven Project Manager / Site Superintendent for technical medical construction projects at the National Institutes of Health, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, and major hospitals in the Washington, DC metro area. HealthCare Design Builders specializes in constructing clinical space for MRI, CT, Catheterization Lab, X-ray, Nuclear Camera and other imaging equipment modalities. This role is primarily a site superintendent role that will require the candidate to be on site daily to oversee construction. Successful candidate would work under and learn from the Director of Operations. Work would include scheduling, management of architects and engineers, subcontractors, contract administration, cost estimating, and customer liaison.
Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
- Manage and coordinate all site activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and safety protocols to maintain a productive work environment.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, manage contracts, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project scheduling, cost management, and document control.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify project accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
- Ensure construction regulatory compliance by adhering to local codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate project schedules with teams using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools to optimize workflow and meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed; address issues promptly to prevent delays or hazards.
- Facilitate clear communication among clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams for seamless project coordination.
Skills/Experience
- Experience as a site superintendent the construction industry.
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, and other relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling techniques and project scheduling best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction management role.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills along with the ability to interpret schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with contracts administration and construction regulatory compliance requirements.
- Exceptional time management skills; capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
