Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes, beverages, and specials to enhance the dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, process payments swiftly, and handle customer inquiries with professionalism
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with sanitation regulations such as Food Safety standards
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or fine dining setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Toast POS or Micros POS to efficiently process transactions
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques including OpenTable reservations management is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability in guest relations with excellent customer service skills that foster repeat business
- Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in a high-volume environment
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales reports
- One or more years of experience required
