Job Overview
Established Neurology practice in Attleboro seeking an individual for a part-time, (20 hours per week) on-site position responsible for medical coding, claim submission, follow-up in the full Medical Billing and Collections Cycle. Experience in accounts receivable, insurance denials and other day to day billing functions. 1 to 2 years of Medical Billing and Collections preferable.
Job Requirements
- Experience with CPT, modifiers and ICD-10 coding
- Working knowledge of how to appeal outstanding and unpaid claims, re-file services and perform follow-up work.
- Experience with electronic / clearinghouse billing software such as Athelas or similar.
- Experience with EClinical Works Electronic Health Record solutions.
- Generate and analyze reports related to billing activities and revenue cycle management.
- Ability to utilize health plan web-based portals to verify claim status.
- Excellent organizational skills, accuracy in coding medical procedures and diagnoses a must.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
