We are currently looking for motivated, competitive, and driven individuals to join our team as an Automotive Detail Manager and grow through our Management Development Program.
This is not a desk job.
You will be in the field leading people, solving problems, managing production, developing employees, working directly with dealership leadership, and being responsible for the success of your operation.
What You'll Do
As an Automotive Detail Manager, you will learn and oversee the day-to-day operation of a high-volume automotive dealership detail department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead, coach, train, and develop a team of automotive detailers and service wash employees
- Manage daily production and ensure vehicles are completed on time
- Maintain Teph Seal quality standards and dealership expectations
- Perform quality-control inspections on completed vehicles
- Train employees on proper detailing procedures, safety, equipment, and chemical usage
- Build schedules based on dealership volume and staffing needs
- Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, productivity, and performance
- Manage labor and payroll to meet operational goals
- Interview, hire, onboard, and train new team members
- Hold employees accountable while creating a positive and productive work environment
- Communicate professionally with dealership managers and leadership
- Resolve problems quickly and proactively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Monitor supplies, tools, chemicals, and equipment
- Help drive customer satisfaction, production, quality, and profitability

Management Development & Career Growth

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Operations, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with strong leadership experience
- Leadership experience through previous employment, athletics, military service, college organizations, volunteer organizations, or other leadership roles
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees
- Comfortable working in a hands-on automotive environment
- Automotive, detailing, dealership, production, hospitality, restaurant management, retail management, or service-industry experience is a plus
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must maintain a good driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully complete a background investigation
- Pre-employment drug screening is required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
