JOB DUTIES: Perform any of the Senior Winder duties and functions as needed. • Perform winding work of all types and sizes within the winding department. • Assist with maintaining the workflow and ensure availability of proper materials and tools. • Communicate and work within the winding team to ensure all types and sizes of windings may be produced in the winding department. • Provide technical support and direction to all co-workers when new situations or problems are discovered. • Determine operation sequences and methods where specifications are imprecise or vague. • Analyzing and resolving work problems or assists other technicians in solving problems and implementing corrective actions. • Conduct on-the-job training to assure all employees are properly trained prior to performing work or a job; assist with cross-training and job rotation schedules to enhance employee knowledge. • Confirm quality criteria is properly inspected, verified and documented during manufacturing to ensure product meets specifications, tolerances, prints and customer order requirements. Identify and correct defects appropriately
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or its foreign educational equivalent Plus 5 years relevant work experience in the manufacturing environment in transformer industry.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
5 years of experience in manufacturing policies, procedures and practices applicable to power transformer operations.
5 years experience in mechanical/technical and troubleshooting
5 years experience reading manufacturing drawings/specifications, blueprints or work instructions.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% or less short-term travel to international travel (primarily Korea) for receiving specialized training.
