Duties:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform procedures such as cardiac catheterization, sterile processing, and utilization review.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients on topics such as discharge planning, dementia care, and toddler care.
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient response, including psychopharmacology.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in [state].
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area (e.g. Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner).
