The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the pharmaceutical industry and is having the Medical Billing Specialist in San Antonio, TX.
Position Summary:
The Durable Medical Equipment Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for supporting claims processing and billing activities. This role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely claim submissions, maintaining billing compliance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve claim issues efficiently.
Additional Details:
Pay range: $17- $19/hour on W2 as per your experience
Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Support billing and claims submission activities.
- Analyze, prioritize, and manage work queues to ensure timely and accurate claim processing.
- Utilize business and clinical data in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly productivity and quality expectations.
- Review payer websites and communicate with payers, patients, and physician offices via inbound/outbound calls and email to obtain required billing information.
- Update claim information and refile claims as needed in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to claims and billing activities.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
- Experience with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing billing documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
