Responsibilities
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Handle all sales transactions efficiently while processing payments accurately through POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Familiarity with wine knowledge, spirits experience, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, sales transaction processing, and accurate cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
