CCS Instruments, founded in 1986, is involved in the manufacture, sales, service, and calibration of physical test equipment for the rubber and plastics industry.
CCSi, Inc. is seeking a Machine Builder and Assembly Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience following assembly directions, reading wiring diagrams, reading blueprints, and using hand tools.
JOB SUMMARY:
The technician will utilize engineering drawings, bills of material, and wiring diagrams to assemble and test a variety of test and preparation equipment used in the polymer industry. The technician will also assist the machinist by sawing stock to rough size, sharpening dies, benching molds, and operating equipment under direct supervision.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years relevant work experience
BENEFICIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate and work with engineering and technical staff to ensure proper assembly and function of equipment
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, piping diagrams, and mechanical assembly drawings.
- Experience operating machining equipment such as mill, lathe, surface grinder, wire EDM, plasma, band saw, etc.
- Experience MIG welding
