We are looking for a motivated and passionate Territory Sales Manager to join the Ole Smoky Team! This position will be based out of Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Work with local distributors/brokers to educate and motivate their sales teams and execute all sales and distribution goals
- Make sales calls on independent spirits retailers to sell new distribution, displays, cold box placements and improve and maintain proper merchandising
- Make sales calls on chain accounts to verify compliance of authorizations, sell in additional SKUs and displays, and improve current merchandising
- Make sales calls on independent and chain on-premise accounts to develop distribution, drink features, and menu placements
- Effectively execute all administrative functions and tasks including account call reporting and team wide calls and activities
- Analyze sales and marketing data to determine the most effective sales and marketing tactics
- Make 8-10 sales calls per day on all spirits retailers in the territory
- Conduct 1-2 consumer tastings/samplings per week at retail partner accounts
- Participate in trade shows throughout the territory
Requirements:
- Must possess a strong work ethic and a desire to win!
- 1-5 years of consumer products sales and distribution. Spirits, wine and beer preferred, but all consumer product are applicable
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, leadership and problem solving skills
- Sound negotiation and consultative sales skills
- Effective communication skills and exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work weekdays, weekends & some nights for event activations and lift up to 45lbs
- Strong motivation to learn the spirits industry
- Must be located within 1 hour drive of the specified area with flexibility to travel throughout assigned territory
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
