Duties
- Supervise children during play, meals, naps, and activities to ensure safety and well-being
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns regarding child safety or welfare
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs in accordance with health guidelines
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid, is required or obtainable upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom activities efficiently while maintaining a nurturing environment
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols
