Job Purpose: Sells products by implementing national sales plans for leading video transcoder products for a fast-growth, technology company. Target customers include: broadcasters, streaming media companies, post-production houses, and video entertainment companies.
Job Duties:
- Identifies market potential by qualifying direct sales accounts and distribution channels. Experience selling into Broadcast industry a plus.
- Initiates sales process by contact initiation and qualification, making initial presentation, and understanding account requirements.
- Closes sales by building rapport with potential account, explaining product and service capabilities, overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
- Expands sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and service and developing new applications.
- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand. Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts.
- Recommends new products and services by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled.
