Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of retail spaces, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Execute floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain a professional appearance.
- Assist with custodial maintenance tasks like minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management for prompt resolution.
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as painting touch-ups in residential or commercial spaces and ensuring the overall upkeep of the premises.
- Maintain cleanliness of industrial cleaning areas and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
- Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety procedures related to custodial work.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning processes and porter responsibilities can enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
