Job Summary
We are seeking a Baker Apprentice to join the team at our busy bakery! In this role, you will prepare a variety of breads and pastries. You will be responsible for opening the bakery in the morning and prepping for the day ahead. The ideal candidate has previous bakery experience and a passion for creating delicious breads and pastries. If you are creative, hardworking, and want to share your tasty creations with customers, we’d like to hear from you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions of Head Baker
- Make and mix doughs
- Proof and round breads
- bake and finish breads
- Track, maintain, and order inventory as necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Previous experience decorating cakes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Team player
- Available for early morning shifts
