Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and spot cleaning to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and dirt buildup.
- Apply buffing procedures to restore shine to hard flooring surfaces, enhancing their overall appearance.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, offices, and other designated areas by sanitizing surfaces and restocking supplies.
- Use janitorial equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and cleaning solutions safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.
- Follow established environmental services protocols to ensure eco-friendly cleaning practices are upheld.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services within commercial or institutional settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, buffing, and general sanitation practices.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and vacuums with confidence.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment throughout the shift.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during scheduled hours.
