Encore Oilfield Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Midland, Texas. This position is responsible for providing on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for reciprocating natural gas compression equipment and related process equipment at customer locations.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality service while working independently in the field.

Provide professional on-site technical support and assistance to customers.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process equipment issues and perform necessary repairs and adjustments.

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and replacement of worn components.

Install and configure new equipment at customer locations according to company and manufacturer specifications.

Test equipment following repairs and installations to verify proper operation and performance.

Maintain detailed service records, including equipment serviced, parts used, labor hours, and work performed.

Prepare accurate and timely reports regarding service activities, equipment status, and customer feedback.

Maintain effective communication with supervisors, customers, and team members.

Follow all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, OSHA regulations, and customer site requirements.

Stay current on equipment, technology, and industry best practices through ongoing training.

Collaborate with internal departments to provide efficient and effective customer service.

Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED.
-
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
-
Experience working with natural gas or diesel engines, reciprocating compressors, production equipment, or industrial mechanical systems.

Basic knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment.

Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and travel as required.

Must provide personal hand tools up to 1¼ inches; specialty tools will be provided by the company.

Gas or diesel engine training or compressor school certification.

Experience servicing natural gas compression equipment.
-
Experience with Caterpillar, Waukesha, Ariel, Ajax, or similar compression equipment.
-
H2S, PEC SafeLand, or other industry safety certifications.

Experience in upstream, midstream, or oil & gas production operations.

This position is primarily field-based and requires travel to customer locations throughout the Permian Basin and surrounding areas. Employees regularly work around natural gas compression equipment, rotating machinery, electrical systems, and industrial process equipment while maintaining compliance with company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
