Harvest Inn is seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at the Harvest Inn (www.harvestinn.com).
The Assistant Front Office Manager position at the Harvest Inn is responsible for overseeing the daily Front Office operation. This position is responsible for assuring all guest requests and wants are responded to in a timely manner and carried out to the guest's satisfaction. The Assistant Front Office Manager will report directly to the Front Office Manager, being their right hand in developing the Front Office Operation. This role allows the opportunity to gain leadership experience for a Luxury Hotel in Napa Valley.
PAY SCALE
The salary range for this position is $30-33.00/hr. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, and education.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Make sure that all Front Office Agents, Drivers, and Bellman are held accountable for their daily tasks
Review Front Office daily checklist for completion and accuracy
Attend daily Morning meetings, reviewing guest arrivals and VIPS
Maintain guest room inventory, monitor room assignments, and practice strategic blocking practices
Must be able to run reports through hotel PMS as needed by Front Office Manager
Prioritize & multitask as necessary to complete daily tasks in coordination with the needs of guests
Audit arrivals and assign rooms accordingly in hotel PMS.
Train & reinforce SOP’s as directed by the Front Office Manager.
Analyze, investigate, record, and resolve guest complaints in a timely manner
Assist with reviewing payroll
Practical knowledge of various Guest Service platforms (Alice, Canary, Opentable, Ileftmystuff, Revinate) including basic knowledge of Harvest Table systems to complete restaurant reservations if needed
Create and improve upon guest services with the assistance of the Front Office Manager
Maintain productive communication between all departments
Attend necessary Hotel meetings (Morning meetings, Manager meetings, Resume meetings, etc)
Act as MOD when the Front Office Manager is not present.
Must be able to think analytically and independently while maintaining professionalism.
Act as a liaison between our winery partners and the Harvest Inn by sending in house guests to their tastings
Qualifications:
2 years of Front Office experience required
1 year of Front Office Supervisor (preferred)
Knowledge of Napa Valley (preferred)
Highly motivated, well organized, and must be able to effectively lead, train, and empower Front Office staff.
Clear & concise written/verbal communication skills in English
Strong leadership, good problem solving, and both administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
Knowledge of Opera PMS (preferred)
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
Flexible schedule; including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
