Shifts needed are Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Plenty of opportunity to cross train and grow!
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, and specialty cocktails to enhance guest experience.
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support food preparation, bussing tables, and assisting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail recipes, and food industry trends to educate guests and enhance their experience.
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolve concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions processing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques including Spirits experience is preferred.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales processing.
- Experience with fine dining service standards including serving etiquette and guest relations excellence.
- Familiarity with reservation management software like OpenTable is advantageous.
