We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at a premier commercial shopping center in the Kenwood, Ohio area. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for maintaining the facility, ensuring a safe and attractive environment for tenants and visitors, and supervising a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will possess strong general maintenance knowledge across multiple building systems, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and have prior supervisory experience. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation to provide weekend and emergency coverage as needed.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Pay: $30.00 per hour.

Supervise, train, schedule, and support a Maintenance Technician.

Perform and oversee routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair activities throughout the shopping center.

Inspect buildings, common areas, and grounds to identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe environment.

Coordinate daily maintenance activities and prioritize work orders.

Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants, property management, and customers.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and documentation.

Monitor contractor and vendor activities as required.

Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Travel between locations and stores throughout the mall campus to complete maintenance activities and respond to service requests.

Participate in the on-call rotation for weekends, after-hours issues, and emergency response situations.

Assist with special projects, facility improvements, and seasonal maintenance activities.

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 3 years of commercial building maintenance experience preferred.

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.

Strong working knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, flooring, door hardware and preventative maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, work orders, and building plans.

Proficiency with mobile devices, work order systems, and computer applications.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Valid driver's license required.

Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders.

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Respond to emergency situations and perform physical maintenance activities as needed.

Experience in commercial retail, shopping center, or multi-tenant facility maintenance.

Technical certifications related to maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or building systems.

Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and maintenance staff.
