I am looking to bring on 2 dispatchers for our PM shift. The schedule will be 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM These dispatchers will work closely with our Transportation Coordinator and will be responsible for managing all inbound and outbound truck activity throughout their shift. Their primary responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the arrival and departure of all linehaul and transportation vehicles.
- Ensuring all inbound and outbound truck information is accurately recorded and updated in Alvys, the Arrival Sheet, Path, and any other required tracking systems.
- Verifying paperwork is complete and accurate before trucks are dispatched or received.
- Monitoring truck schedules and communicating any delays or issues to the operations team.
- Maintaining accurate records to ensure all transportation data is captured daily and available for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Assisting with communication between warehouse operations, transportation, and carriers to keep freight moving efficiently.
Adding these two positions will strengthen our transportation operations by improving the accuracy of our tracking data, ensuring all truck movements are properly documented, and reducing the risk of missed arrivals, departures, or reporting discrepancies. This will also provide better operational visibility and allow our Transportation Coordinator to focus on higher-level planning and carrier management.
