Weekend Game Guide (Game Master)
Escape Game Knoxville is looking for energetic, outgoing team members to join our immersive entertainment team in downtown Knoxville.
Immediate openings available.
Pay: Competitive hourly wage + tips (paid weekly)Location: Downtown Knoxville (private employee parking available)Schedule: Part-time, weekends required
Typical Hours
- Friday: 3:00 PM – Close
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 3:00 PM – Close
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Additional hours may be available for the right candidate. Hours may vary based on needs.
About the Role
As a Game Guide (Game Master), you will host guests through one of the most unique entertainment experiences in Knoxville. You’ll be responsible for creating memorable experiences, helping players navigate escape rooms, and ensuring every group has an amazing time.
This position includes light character acting and guest interaction. Applicants with theater, acting, improv, customer service, hospitality, or entertainment experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide an enthusiastic first impression
- Introduce players to their escape room experience
- Monitor games through cameras and microphones from a control room
- Provide hints and guidance when needed
- Celebrate successful escapes and debrief teams after their game
- Reset rooms accurately between groups
- Clean and sanitize rooms and common areas
- Answer phones and assist with reservations
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance when needed
- Assist with special projects, room upgrades, and puzzle development

- Comfortable learning basic technology and troubleshooting
- Interested in games, puzzles, theater, or immersive entertainment
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be available Saturdays and Sundays
- Must be comfortable interacting with guests and performing light character acting
