We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Float Pool for a 36-hour/week travel contract. This position is ideal for nurses who are comfortable caring for intermediate care patients and working across multiple units as needed.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current Intermediate Care/Stepdown experience (required)
- Comfortable caring for intermediate care patients
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of North Carolina
- BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
Education
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited School of Nursing
- BSN or MSN preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical needs.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Promote a safe, clean, and patient-centered care environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
