Hazen is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Engineer to support the planning, design and construction of water and wastewater facility infrastructure in Lexington or Louisville Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities:

Work on a wide range of projects to include planning, design, permitting, and construction of structures in water and wastewater (i.e. drinking water, wastewater, water resources, conveyance)

Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel
Required Qualifications:
-
5 - 10 years of experience in relevant municipal water/wastewater design and construction experience

Experience in planning, design, and construction for water and wastewater treatment facilities
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies

Self-starter with attention to detail

Strong organizational skills

Proficient in all MS Office based computer software

PE license (KY preferred or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment)

B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, or Biosystems engineering
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree (Master’s) of Science or Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case)
