Project Manager – FloStor Engineering, Inc.
FloStor Engineering, Inc., a well-established material handling systems integrator based in the San Francisco Bay Area, has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Manager. With 40 years designing, selling, installing, and servicing material handling systems, FloStor delivers turnkey solutions across a wide range of applications, from semi-automated to fully automated storage, order fulfillment, and conveyor systems. Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the project cycle, from contract negotiations through final acceptance, and is accountable for on-time and within-budget delivery of all projects under his or her supervision.
Responsibilities
- Help the sales team prepare quotations for client RFQs
- Plan, implement, and oversee project schedules; overlap and dovetail resources to meet critical milestones
- Read, interpret, and implement drawings; purchase and expedite materials
- Obtain all necessary permits and coordinate P.E. sealing and submittals
- Schedule and supervise field work crews and manage all aspects of the Uniform Building Code
- Coordinate on-time delivery of materials and execution of work by suppliers, subcontractors, and union and non-union installation crews
- Act as a dependable liaison between FloStor and the customer, ensuring adherence to approved design criteria and smooth implementation
- Professionally address design or engineering issues that arise during normal job progression
- Manage cost tracking, on-time billing per job milestones, change order processing, and weekly progress reports
- Oversee system startup, commissioning, customer operations and safety training, and final signoff
- Be a team player and team leader; hold self, vendors, and crews accountable for quality work, job safety, and total customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical experience)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the material handling industry
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- AutoCAD experience required
- Microsoft Project and MS Office proficiency required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing multiple projects
Pay: $89,316.43 - $107,563.88 per year
