Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation and air conditioning services. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems in commercial and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Service & Repair
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, boilers, pumps, VFDs, heat pumps, VAV systems, VRF/VRV systems, exhaust systems and large tonnage systems.
- Perform system checks, adjustments, refrigerant charging, leak testing, and component replacement.
- Conduct preventative maintenance services as scheduled, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
Installation & Commissioning
- Install and start up new commercial HVAC systems and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Verify system functionality and performance to manufacturer specifications.
Customer Service & Communication
- Communicate identified issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to customers in a clear, professional manner.
- Provide detailed service documentation, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
- Maintain positive client relationships and represent the company professionally on job sites.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical code regulations.
- Handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA Section 608 guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to company safety policies.
Tools, Equipment & Documentation
- Operate diagnostic tools, gauges, meters, and hand/power tools essential for HVAC work.
- Use mobile devices or software to complete work orders, log maintenance data, and track parts.
- Maintain company vehicle inventory and ensure tools are in safe, working condition.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoors).
Preferred
- Trade school or HVAC technical training certificates.
- State or local HVAC licenses (if applicable).
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS/BMS).
- Knowledge of energy-management and control systems.

Pay: $35.00 - $70.00 per hour
