Overview:
Reports to the Patient Care Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the CNA provides specific direct patient care activities and performs related support functions within his/her scope of responsibility as specified in this job description.
Responsibilities:
- Responds appropriately in an emergent situation as per hospital policy.

Utilizes principles of Infection Control in the delivery of care.

Accurately performs and records vital signs including blood pressure

Monitors and records patient intake and output accurately

Provides for patient’s personal care needs-hygiene, toileting, feeding and bed making

Performs waive testing according to policy and procedure

Observes care of patients on suicidal, constant and safety precautions

Transport patients as assigned.

Implements restraints according to policy and procedure.
Qualifications:
High School or GED required. BCLS and completed certified Nursing Assistant course.
