Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with menu planning and suggest creative ideas to enhance dish offerings
- Support food preparation for catering events and special functions as needed
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high quality and presentation standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service environment, such as restaurants or catering, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are essential
- Knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and food presentation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior culinary experience that demonstrates creativity, teamwork, and a passion for quality cuisine
