Business Hours: Wed-Friday 8am-2pm Sat-Sun 8am-3pm
Employment Type: Part-Time (15-20hours) NOT SEASONAL
Pay: $16.80/hr + Tip Pool (add’ $8–10/hr)

About Two Sisters Cafe
Two Sisters Cafe is a small Latina-owned cafe near Downtown Milwaukie. We opened our doors in July of 2025, serving Mexican-inspired food and beverages. We believe that dining out should be a delightful experience for everyone, including families. Our dedicated play area for kids, which takes up half of our space, ensures that little ones can have fun while parents relax and enjoy their meals.

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and adaptable Café Team Member to join our team. This role is primarily focused on kitchen operations, including food preparation and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. As we are a small cafe, cafe team members will also be required to perform other duties as needed. (other duties described below)
Please do not apply if you’re looking for a slow-paced or purely customer service/Barista role - this position will primarily perform Kitchen duties. It requires speed, focus, and teamwork.
Primary Responsibilities
Kitchen & Food Preparation :
- Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
- Deep cleaning certain areas as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Dish washing
Other Duties:
- Provide friendly, prompt, and helpful service
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
- Answer menu questions and make recommendations when appropriate
- Assist with baking preparation
- Maintain cleanliness of front-of-house areas as needed, which include:
- Sanitizing dining tables
- Clearing bus bins
- Refilling water station
- End of day: sweeping/mopping, cleaning/sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning/sanitizing playroom
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a café environment highly preferred
- Previous experience in kitchen and food preparation highly preferred
- Basic understanding of food safety practices (training can be provided)
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable interacting with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting, pulling, pushing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures
Schedule & Availability
- Weekends are required (Friday-Sunday)
- Part Time (15-20hours)
