Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, hallways, common areas, and private spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Manage laundry operations by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing efficiently
- Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areas regularly
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers or vacuums to preserve the cleanliness and appearance of flooring surfaces
- Assist with environmental services tasks in healthcare or hospitality settings to uphold hygiene and safety protocols
- Document cleaning activities accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience in commercial cleaning environments preferred
- Experience working in hospitals or healthcare facilities is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet cleaning preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Available weekends
