Line Cook
We are looking for a few professional-level line cooks at our Fairway Social - Trilith location. Successful candidates will join a smaller team of experienced industry veterans. Positive attitudes along with the ability to take instructions while working in conjunction with teammates is a must. As much as possible we are a scratch kitchen; thus previous experience is recommended. In addition to setting stations and executing orders; there will be numerous opportunities to learn and assist the Executive Chef with special projects.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow Executive Chef's instructions.
- Clean up station/kitchen
- Close stations and appropriately take care of leftover food at the end of the night.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Knife Skills
