Overview
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of hyperscale data centers and other mission-critical facilities. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex electrical engineering projects from concept through construction while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary design and project management teams.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a technically challenging environment, enjoys mentoring others, and can independently manage projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Design Leadership
- Lead electrical engineering efforts on mission-critical facility projects.
- Design and develop medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems, electrical topologies, equipment layouts, and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform equipment selection, sizing calculations, and technical analysis.
- Produce and review construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.
- Develop and review project specifications and sequences of operation.
- Support project proposals, including scope definition, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Coordinate project resources and manage design team workloads.
- Identify project risks, scope changes, and potential impacts to schedules and budgets.
- Serve as a key technical resource and maintain strong client relationships.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
Pre-Construction Services
- Conduct site assessments and existing-condition surveys.
- Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
- Collect field data and support development of construction documents.
Construction Administration
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and contractor documentation.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Participate in punch walks, closeout activities, and project turnover processes.
- Coordinate closely with project management and construction teams.
Project Reporting & Coordination
- Provide project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation logs and project records.
- Track project progress and resource utilization.
Technology & Innovation
- Champion the use of digital tools, automation, and AI-enabled technologies to improve efficiency and project execution.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce manual effort.
- Support implementation of advanced analytics, visualization tools, and digital project delivery platforms.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation across engineering processes.
QualificationsTechnical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of commercial and mission-critical electrical systems, including:
- Single-phase and three-phase power distribution
- Lighting and lighting controls
- Grounding systems
- Life safety systems
- Deep understanding of applicable codes and standards, including:
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Life Safety Codes
- Energy Conservation Codes
- Experience performing:
- Short-circuit studies
- Coordination studies
- Arc flash analysis
- Lighting calculations
- Feeder sizing and underground distribution calculations
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution architectures and system topologies.

Education & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering experience.
Pay: $140,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
