POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a dependable, organized, detail-oriented person to handle the cleaning, photographing, organizing, picking, packaging, and shipping of automotive parts.
This position is responsible for making sure parts are clean, accurately identified, properly photographed, neatly organized, and safely packaged so they are ready for sale and shipment.
The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping the work area organized, pays close attention to details, and understands that accuracy and presentation are extremely important when dealing with customers and inventory.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-PART CLEANING & PREPARATION
- Wipe down parts so they are clean and presentable.
- Inspect parts for damage, missing pieces, broken tabs, cracks, or excessive wear.
- Report damaged or questionable parts to management.
- Handle electrical components, trim pieces, interior parts, and other loose parts carefully.
-PART INVENTORY
- Take multiple photos showing the overall condition of each part.
- Photograph part numbers, labels, connectors, mounting points, and identifying features.
- Photograph any damage or imperfections.
- Make sure photos are well-lit, in focus, and show the part clearly.
- Keep photography areas clean and organized.
- Then organize parts into designated photo albums and labeled totes.
- Prevent parts from becoming mixed together or misplaced.
-ORDER PICKING
- Review orders and locate the correct part.
- Verify the part number, description, quantity, and application.
- Double-check the part before packaging.
-PACKAGING & SHIPPING
- Select the appropriate box and packing materials.
- Properly wrap and protect parts from damage during shipping.
- Secure small hardware and accessories.
- Make sure parts cannot move freely inside the box.
- Complete final quality checks before placing packages in the shipping area.
EXPECTATIONS
At the end of the work process:
- Parts should be in their designated locations.
- Totes should be neatly organized.
- Work areas should be clean.
- Packaging supplies should be returned to their designated locations.
- Trash and unnecessary materials should be removed.
- No loose parts should be left unidentified.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work a minimum of Mon-Fri 8-5 weekly.
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Must follow and promote PPE & Safety Guidelines
- Promote teamwork and cultivate a positive work environment.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stay organized

- Ability to work at a steady pace
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to safely lift and move parts
- Willingness to work around automotive parts, dirt, grease, and shop environments
- Ability to work efficiently in a variety of weather conditions – rain, snow, sun, cold.

- Parts counter experience
- Shipping/warehouse experience
- Inventory experience
- Experience photographing products for online sales.
Automotive experience is helpful but not required. We can train the right person.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position may require:
- Standing for extended periods
- Walking throughout the facility
- Bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting
- Handling automotive parts of various sizes and weights
- Moving heavy boxes and totes
- Repeated cleaning and packaging tasks
Proper lifting techniques must always be used.
Ask for assistance with heavy or awkward parts.
