Acadian Companies has an immediate opening for a full-time night-shift Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join their team in Lafayette, LA.
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
Job Summary: Coordination of movement of vehicles and other assets.

- Provide support to Ambulance Operations by assigning the correct number of ambulance units each day and by exchanging ambulances in a timely manner when a breakdown occurs
- Obtain critical information when a unit is involved in an accident/breakdown for both emergency and non-emergency transports
- Coordinate additional units with a sense of urgency when a breakdown/accident occurs with and without patients onboard
- Assign maintenance or rebuild tasks to area shops and technicians for ambulance fleet and company vehicles
- Liaison with contractors and vendors to recover assets that are out of commission
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years Diesel Mechanic Experience preferred
- Ability to handle stressful situations; ability to multi-task
- Ability to learn customized software; MS Office proficiency required
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and meet multiple concurrent deadlines independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
