- Deliver FPS-approved training courses in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct classroom, hands-on, and scenario-based training for FPS personnel.
- Ensure all training activities comply with DHS and FPS requirements.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate training records, reports, and documentation.
- Support mission readiness initiatives through professional instruction and coaching.
- Stay current on applicable regulations, policies, and training methodologies.
- Active Firearms Instructor Certification from one of the following:
- NRA Firearms Instructor
- Virginia DCJS Firearms Instructor
- Maryland Firearms Instructor
- SOMB Firearms Instructor
- Demonstrated experience delivering firearms and/or security-related training.
- Strong presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to conduct both classroom and practical exercises effectively.
- Knowledge of DHS, FPS, and security training standards.

- Must pass a medical exam and drug screening
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
