Overview:
Reporting to the 1st Shift Production Supervisor, maintains and repairs production tooling and supports production needs as they arise.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains all in-house molds in production ready condition.
- Schedules mold repairs accordingly to avoid downtime and still produce quality.

Works closely with Engineering Department on new molds, revisions, and/or changes to existing molds.

Maintains safe and clean operations by adhering to safety procedures and company 6S requirements.

Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques. Additional training and certification in industrial technology and welding strongly preferred.

Must have the ability to apply detailed, quality craftsmanship relating to mold maintenance and repair.

Must have the ability to operate and get certified to drive a forklift.

Must be able to use and operate safely the following equipment, tools, and instruments: welder, torches, hoists, multiple hand tools, power saws, grinders, drills and routers, gauges and measuring devices, and all required safety PPE.

Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.

High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from is accredited institution.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task
