The Bar Supervisor is the trusted leader of the service staff and is responsible for the overall operations with a specific focus on bar service and day-to-day operations. The core functions of the job include creating memorable experiences for guests, fostering team growth and accountability, and implementing operational systems through staff training and follow-up for both Bar Politan and Jojo’s Beloved Cocktail Lounge.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
- Promotes, works, and acts in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of Politan Row.
- Leads daily bar operations, acting as the Manager on Duty for Politan Row bar outlets
- Assists with bi-weekly inventory count
- Ensures all food safety protocols are being followed and daily audits completed.
- Communicates repair and maintenance needs to the Beverage Manager, and assists with routine maintenance tasks
- Responsible for the training of all new team members.
- Coaches team members if checklists are not completed or completed unsatisfactorily.
- Provides leadership and coaching to hourly team members in the areas of guest service and operations processes to achieve goals.
- Checks in bar deliveries, in compliance with receiving SOPs
- Leads daily pre-shift meeting to align staff on reservations and areas of daily focus.
- Acts as the liaison between the bar team and door staff, ensuring smooth hand-off and prompt service when guests are seated. Tracks reservations throughout the shift, applying cancellation fees when appropriate.
- Communicates via radio to hosts, security personnel, and barbacks
- Ensures the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained in our bar outlets.
- Develops a culture of teamwork, empowerment, service, and fun by ensuring all team members know why their job is important.
- Ensures staff compliance with dress code standards
- Completes daily shift notes
- Ensures bar comps are completed daily, in compliance with SOPs
- Continually audits POS system for accuracy, maintaining correct pricing and offerings.
- Maintains 1-2 bar shifts per week(tip eligible)
- Acts as the Manager on Duty when scheduled as such
- Acts as supervisor for private events when required
- Attends required staff and leadership meetings
- All other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Three (3) years of management experience
- Five (5) years total hospitality experience

- Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Regularly required to use hands and frequent washing of hands.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
