Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, careful, and efficient Takedown Specialists to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands protective style takedowns, proper detangling, and how to safely remove hair extensions without damaging the client’s natural hair. Takedown services require speed, focus, care, and attention to detail. Takedown Specialists must be able to assess the client’s hair before beginning the service and understand the difference between synthetic hair, human hair fibers, and the client’s natural hair to avoid accidentally cutting or damaging the client’s hair. Training will be provided to ensure all Takedown Specialists follow The Braiddown Bar’s service standards, timing expectations, and client care procedures.
Responsibilities
- Safely take down braids, knotless braids, crochet styles, faux loc and other protective styles.
- Remove styles carefully while avoiding unnecessary cutting, pulling, breakage, or damage.
- Must learn how to perform all services on the service menu.
- Shampoo hair when required as part of the service.
- Keep your station and shared areas clean, organized, and professional.
- Properly assess the client's hair and scalp before beginning service.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Participate in content creation, training, and brand-related media as needed.

- Qualifications
- Must have braiding knowledge
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must be able and willing to stand on your feet for at least 2–3 hours at a time.
- Must be teachable, willing to learn, and open to feedback.
- Must be willing to adapt to to systems, techniques, and client service standards.
- Must be comfortable on camera. This is non-negotiable.
- Ability to shampoo and properly detangle hair is preferred.
- Work with speed, care, and attention to detail.
- Customer service is our main priority.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
