Head Coach
Pay Range
$2,588.00 stipend
As a Head Coach, you will develop, enhance, and promote an athletic program distinguished by integrity, citizenship, character, work ethic, and the ability to overcome adversity. You will instruct student-athletes in respectful conduct toward themselves, opponents, and officials regardless of competition outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience as a soccer player and/or coach preferred
- Knowledge of strategies, methods, and techniques for successful athletic programs
- Ability to manage all aspects of a sport program
- Maine coaching credentials required or in progress
- Employment in the Kennebunk School Department preferred
Reports To: MSK Director of Athletics
Responsibilities
Student-Centered
- Supervise student-athletes within the program
- Ensure students are properly prepared for competition through planning and training
- Supervise and manage off-season development programs
- Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes
Leadership
- Assist in the evaluation and hiring of coaching staff
- Promote the philosophy and objectives of the athletic department
- Coordinate with trainers and athletic staff for emergency preparedness and medical support
- Enforce district athletic codes and expectations
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and uniforms
- Prepare reports for the athletic director as requested
- Supervise assistant coaches and oversee program standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal or athletic director

Terms of Employment

Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated by the building administrator or team leader in accordance with Board policy on evaluation of support services personnel.
