** This opportunity is for established independent contractors with 2 Man Teams and that have a active DOT & MC authority that meet all AML insurance requirements. **
We are looking for carriers that are interested in contracting with us to deliver and install appliances, fitness equipment assembly, furniture assembly and outdoor recreational equipment.
Join our dynamic AM Logistics Inc. team as a Straight Truck Independent Contractor and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers the flexibility to operate your own vehicle while providing essential transportation services for a variety of cargo types. As a key player in our logistics network, you will ensure timely deliveries, maintain excellent customer service, and uphold safety standards on every trip. Duties
- Safely operate your own straight trucks ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Safely and properly handle and secure freight while loading and during pickups and delivery ensuring proper freight handling techniques to prevent damage to property or self.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch for route updates, delivery confirmations, and addressing any issues on the road
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspection reports, and other required documentation per customer and AML requirements.
Carrier Requirements Include:
- Active US DOT & MC numbers with NO major DOT Violations.
- Valid Truck and General Liability Insurance that meet all AML Requirements.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on Home delivery.
- Own, Lease or rent a 26' Straight Truck w/ Liftgate
- Valid FOR HIRE driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Clean professional appearance by Teams is required.
- Yellow high Vis Vests, t-shirts and or sweatshirts are Required.
- Proper Footwear NO Sandals, Crocs. Boots HIGHLY recommended.
- Foot Booties must be worn in customers home. ICs will need to supply themselves.
- Strong knowledge of route planning and driving safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift heavy cargo with 2 or more people.
- NO Marijuana USE while on duty or before while representing AML.
- Previous home delivery (white glove) experience
- Previous appliance delivery, furniture delivery and installation experience
- $600-$850 average daily rate* Could be more dependent on IC's flexibility and season.
- Monday-Friday work week
- Saturdays maybe required.
*Actual settlement amounts will depend on the individual carrier’s choices.

Work Location: Central Indiana, Ft. Wayne, Evansville routes are all possibilities.
