A U.S.-based holding company affiliated with an international manufacturing group oversees the financial performance, business activities, and strategic direction of multiple U.S. subsidiaries. The organization also serves as a liaison between its overseas headquarters and affiliated U.S. companies.
The Accounting / General Assistant supports the Finance & Accounting Manager and executive leadership with accounting, financial reporting, bilingual communication, and general administration. This role requires strong accounting experience, expert Japanese ability, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.

Maintain accurate financial records in the ERP system.

Process Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger entries.

Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and company credit card payments.

Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts, actual results, variance analyses, and reporting packages.

Support accounting activities for affiliated U.S. entities, including Sales & Use Tax filings.

Coordinate international shipments, invoices, packing lists, inventory monitoring, and replenishment orders.

Arrange business travel and provide general administrative support.

Translate legal, technical, financial, and corporate documents between Japanese and English.

Coordinate internal communications and corporate publication content with relevant departments.

Assist employees relocating from Japan with transition and settlement matters.

Expert Japanese and professional English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.

3–5 years of general accounting experience.

3–5 years of administrative or related experience.

Knowledge of AP, AR, Payroll, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Ability to accurately translate technical and business documents.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational, time-management, and deadline-management skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office systems.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience with Sage 50 Accounting.

Experience using ERP systems.

Experience supporting international shipments or affiliated entities.

Extended computer use is required.
