Duties
- Ensuring guests are greeted warmly, providing outstanding customer service that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence
- Manage reservations, walk-in arrivals, and guest inquiries efficiently to optimize flow and satisfaction
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of events including tastings, private parties, weddings, corporate gatherings, and fundraising functions
- Collaborate with vendors on catering, entertainment, décor, and other event logistics to ensure seamless execution
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all aspects meet safety standards and client expectations
- Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards
- Develop marketing strategies for upcoming events through social media, email campaigns, and local outreach to boost attendance and visibility
- Upsell winery products, the wine club and event packages to maximize revenue opportunities during guest interactions
- Manage budgets for events, track expenses, and ensure profitability while delivering exceptional experiences
- Recruit and lead a team of front-of-house staff by providing training in guest services, safety procedures, and hospitality standards
- Maintain organizational records related to bookings, contracts, payments, and customer feedback
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant service, hotel operations, or banquet/event management with a strong background in hospitality or customer service roles
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing events from small tastings to large-scale functions
- Skilled in negotiation with clients and vendors to achieve mutually beneficial agreements
- Familiarity with marketing strategies specific to event promotion within the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests effectively and lead teams confidently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Experience in budgeting, contract management, catering coordination, or banquet service is highly desirable
- Knowledge of the wine industry or winery operations is a plus but not required
