Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and enhancing students' academic and personal growth. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a conducive learning environment.
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including literacy education, math, and physical education.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Mentor students to enhance their academic performance and personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Support students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, through tailored teaching methods.
- Engage in early intervention strategies to support childhood development.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior management strategies.
- Foster a love for learning by integrating learning technology into the classroom experience.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Strong background in early childhood education or Montessori methods is preferred.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning is required.
- Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or providing library services is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to demonstrate strong writing skills for lesson documentation and student assessments.

Education:
- AA/AS in ECE (or related field) or CDA + 2 years classroom experience.
- 12+ college credits in ECE/Child Development if degree is in a related field.
- BA/BS in ECE (or related human development field) or state Birth–Kindergarten/Pre-K license.
- Experience implementing developmentally appropriate practice and formative assessment.
- Training & Compliance: Current CPR/First Aid, Currenty Health and Safety Training, and safe sleep (and any infant-toddler, health & safety trainings required by your state).
