Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Print Production Specialist / Graphic Designer to join our team. This role combines hands-on print production with graphic design responsibilities and customer interaction. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to final production.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare artwork for print production using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Create and modify customer artwork for business cards, flyers, brochures, banners, signs, apparel, and promotional materials.
- Operate and maintain digital print equipment and finishing equipment.
- Prepare print files and ensure proper setup for production.
- Perform cutting, trimming, laminating, mounting, binding, and other finishing tasks.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist customers with design requests, product recommendations, and order updates.
- Receive, organize, and fulfill customer orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized production workspace.
- Assist with inventory management and material stocking.
- Support the team with general shop operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Graphic design experience required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of digital printing processes preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a print shop, sign shop, marketing agency, or production environment.
- Knowledge of large-format printing, apparel decoration, or promotional products.
- Experience operating production equipment and finishing tools.
