Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from entry to checkout
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management with precision
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly in accordance with merchandising standards
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer needs are met efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous retail experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership growth opportunities
- Strong communication skills combined with friendly phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers both in-store and over the phone
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and cash register operations will support success in this role
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and work flexible hours including weekends
