King LASIK / K2 Vision is seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team in Kennewick, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced refractive surgery practice specializing in LASIK, ICL, and Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE).
Previous ophthalmic or eye care experience is preferred.
Position Details
- Full time position- 32-40 hours per week.
- Occasional evening hours may be required
- Must be available to work occasional Saturdays for surgery or post-operative care
- Starting pay: $20/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care
- Perform ophthalmic testing and accurately document findings
- Maintain quality and accuracy in all charting and diagnostic testing
- Assist with patient flow, pre-operative evaluations, and post-operative care
- Educate and counsel patients regarding procedures and technology options
- Support technicians and surgeons during LASIK and refractive lens exchange procedures
- Utilize electronic medical records and scheduling software efficiently
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas (training is available):
- Refractions
- Optometric testing
- Surgical technician experience
- Diagnostic equipment such as topography, IOL Master, OCT, or other ophthalmic testing
