Our Senior Engineers are versatile technical experts with strong mastery over modern cloud, networking, and server infrastructure, as well as core legacy technologies.
Backed by at least five years of hands-on experience, our Senior Engineers are exceptional communicators who thrive in a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You will lead technical initiatives, navigate complex client challenges, and serve as a calm, authoritative guide when clients need urgent solutions. The pace, variety, and accountability of this role are significantly higher than traditional internal IT positions, offering continuous growth and broad technical exposure.
Position ResponsibilitiesClient Communication & Project Delivery
- Maintain prompt, transparent communication with clients regarding project status, next steps, and realistic ETAs.
- Conduct thorough pre-project and work-briefing sessions with clients to align expectations.
- Execute project work with high accuracy across environments utilizing Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking infrastructure, firewalls, backups, and Linux/UNIX systems.
- Translate technical issues into clear business language for stakeholders at all levels—from end users to IT staff and C-suite executives.
Cloud & Datacenter Infrastructure
- Architect, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Security & Compliance, Defender/ATP).
- Deploy and manage public/hybrid cloud environments in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Maintain enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and High Availability (HA) load balancing solutions.
- Administer virtualization environments including Hyper-V and VMware, along with SAN architectures.
- Support Citrix technologies, SQL Server clustering, and enterprise storage.
Server & Workstation Management
- Architect, install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server OS, active directory, file, print, and remote access services.
- Oversee enterprise email architecture (Exchange Server & Exchange Online), including migrations, clustering, routing, and advanced administrative rules.
- Troubleshoot Windows desktop environments, automate M365/Office deployments, configure Outlook, and manage hardware components, mobile devices (iOS/Android), and tablets.
Networking & Security
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot TCP/IP subnetting, routing, VLANs, and DNS services.
- Manage, configure, and monitor enterprise firewalls, VPNs, switches, and wireless access points (controller/controllerless, mesh, RADIUS, dynamic VLANs).
- Deploy security best practices: endpoint protection (EDR/XDR), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), threat management, and security awareness/phishing defenses.
Operational Excellence & Accountabilities
- Daily Time Tracking: Maintain accurate daily time entries accounting for at least 9 hours via resolution notes within service tickets.
- Utilization: Maintain monthly billable targets of 75% or higher (out of ~170 available monthly hours).
- Documentation: Ensure client networks meet InfoPathways Minimum Documentation Standards.
- Client Satisfaction: Consistently aim for top-tier scores (10/10) on Quality Assurance surveys.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Account Managers and Team Leaders on client changes, ask for technical assistance when appropriate without overburdening peers, and mentor junior engineers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Firewalls & Security: Hands-on experience with non-Cisco and Cisco firewalls (SonicWALL, Sophos, Fortinet, WatchGuard, Juniper).
- Database & Enterprise Apps: Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and clustering.
- Wireless Networks: Strong understanding of wireless architecture, signal encryption, dynamic VLANs, and enterprise authentication.
- Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Proven capability in managing security frameworks, SOC integrations, and threat remediation.
Credentials and Experience
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting:
- Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, and M365.
- Cisco & Enterprise Switching / Routing / VLAN / Firewall configurations.
- Server hardware infrastructure (CPU, RAID, SAN/NAS).
- Data backup/recovery systems, corporate antivirus/EDR, and VPN connectivity.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft: M365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert / Security / Messaging Associate
- Cisco: CCNA / CCDA
- VMware: VCP
- CompTIA: Network+, Security+, Project+

Pay: $34.00 - $37.00 per hour
