Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic foam manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment used in the production of foam products. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and efficiency across the plant. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
- Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery meets quality standards.
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and adjust automated systems for optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Conduct welding (including <LOCATION> welding) and other fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment as needed.
- Assist with field service tasks, including working with industrial electricians on high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, HVAC/R units, and other specialized machinery.
- Use field tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments to analyze electrical circuits and mechanical systems.
- Operate industrial lifts such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated equipment or perform maintenance tasks.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including working with high voltage systems and adhering to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance data and recommending enhancements for efficiency and reliability.
Skills
- Extensive experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), HVAC/R systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS software for maintenance planning and recordkeeping.
- Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and perform electrical repairs involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, calipers, and micrometers for accurate diagnostics.
- Knowledge of industrial electrician practices combined with field service experience is highly desirable.
- Strong analysis skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Excellent customer service mindset when collaborating with team members or supporting internal clients within the plant.
- Physical ability to operate heavy machinery like scissor lifts safely while adhering to safety standards.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
- Military background or experience is considered a plus due to discipline and technical training background.
