JOB SUMMARY
The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of all powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) used within our Appleton and Little Chute manufacturing facilities. This includes forklifts, roll clamps, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems
- Conduct thorough inspections of PIVs to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
- The Forklift Mechanic will keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on each PIV, including maintenance schedules and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete repair tasks in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Train other maintenance personnel and PIV operators on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- The Forklift Mechanic will adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repair tasks, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Current industry certifications are required (OEM, technical, or other relevant forklift maintenance certifications).
- Must provide and maintain your own set of tools to perform daily job duties.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if travel between customer locations is required).
- Proficiency in reading service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Experience using diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools is preferred.

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
