Join our dynamic team as a Light-Duty Tow Truck / Wrecker Driver and become a vital part of our roadside assistance and vehicle recovery operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate light-duty tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional wrecker vehicles, to recover and transport vehicles of various sizes.
- Securely load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform basic mechanical diagnostics and minor repairs such as fluid checks, tire changes, and mechanical troubleshooting to assist stranded drivers.
- Follow proper procedures for vehicle recovery towing, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services professionally, and addressing their concerns with empathy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all towing activities, including logs of recoveries, vehicle conditions, and incident reports.
- Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks to ensure mechanical reliability and safety compliance before each shift.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, or mechanic work is highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
- Familiarity with flatbed towing equipment, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and cargo securement protocols.
- Hands-on experience with manual transmissions and basic vehicle troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle recovery towing procedures and safe vehicle loading practices.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally while maintaining safety standards.
- Prior customer service experience in roadside assistance or related fields is a plus.
